"Long ago I dreamed of being a photographer for National Geographic. I worked for a number of years as a photojournalist, and I adored working in the dark room. I was trained to use photos to tell a story, and it was only after I fell in love with words that I let my photographic dream go. But I still love pictures. They freeze us in time and place, and when I go back and view some of the photos from the past, it brings my memories to life. I hope you'll all join me in submitting photos. We're planning some fun contests for photos and I think this is a great way to build community. Enjoy!"
